Once my completed documentation had been submitted, it took more than EIGHT WEEKS to process my claim (all that time without me being asked to submit any additional documentation). I tried to call the company about the delay, but got put on hold for a long time and finally gave up. I will say that they finally reimbursed me for the amount of my request and didn't deny any of my claim. Because of the nature of my injury, I also had a claim for a later trip with different insurer - it took that company THREE DAYS from the time of my electronic submission to notification of approval of the claim and then another four days to receive the refund, for a total of one week.

We added a day to the beginning of our trip a few months prior. At that time also realized the end date was a day short. Contacted customer service who instructed me on the email I needed to send for these changes. Relatively easy with no additional charge. Only complaint is that we had also changed our email address which was only half successful. One response to new email but other with details to old.

Had no problems on my trip to arctic Alaska; was concerned when almost weathered in at Kaktovic, Alaska; worried if AXA would cover the additional lodging costs which are substantial in an outpost village like Kaktovic. Luckily, we were able to fly out later in the day on the last flight out. So with no claims were made, tough to review.

The descriptions for coverage are vague making it difficult to find what I wanted. In other words, I was looking for coverage that included cancellation for any reason. The way the description uses the EXCLUSION is very confusing. I will probably not use your company again unless you make the language more concise and user friendly.

We are grateful that we did not need to use this insurance coverage. It was easy to sign up for and gave us peace of mind. However; not using it makes in unable to comment on how easy/hard it is to collect, if needed.

With an upcoming 16 day Alaskan Cruise and Land Journey, we thought it was prudent to purchase Travel Insurance for peace of mind. Luckily, we didn't have to use it but I felt better knowing it was there "just in case" with an elderly parent back home.
