The IMG plan we purchased offered all the provisions we were looking for while traveling outside of the US. Fortunately we did not have to file a claim, but we did extend the duration of the insurance coverage since we decided to extend our vacation by 10 more days. We did not have any difficulty in obtaining the extension and Insuremytrip.com was very helpful in obtaining the desired extension.

I was most worried about flights with winter weather which is why I purchased the plan for piece of mind. I thought the cost was a bit high compared to the chat if my trip. Maybe next time I would talk with a rep to make sure I am getting the best deal possible.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Choice Cruise
My flight returning home was delayed. The only compensation would have be if I had stayed at a hotel or had receipts for food.
Because I stayed with family I was not reimbursed despite losing work time.
The staff offered to read the plan to me but I do think my lost time should have counted and the inconvenience to my family keeping me at their home

Just because we are both in our 70's doesn't mean we should pay more for the same coverage as a 40 year old. We were obviously in much better shape than all the obese passengers in that age group on our recent cruise.
