This was the 2nd time we purchased this same insurance and have recently purchased it again for cruise in Nov this year. We did file a claim on this times insurance for travel delay. Hurricane Dorian delayed our cruise for 4 days and changed from a 7 day to 3 day cruise. I was waiting to review until our claim was settled. I received word today it was settled for full amount claimed in a reasonable time. We only filed for our stay in a condo and a hotel for 4 nights and 1 meal(did not keep receipts for other food and grocery shopping. I am very satisfied with the way the claim was handled. Will purchase again. Only complaint I have is the price went up from our 2018 purchase due to they dont cover children for free anymore but still think the insurance is a good deal.

During our cruise my wife had a slight injury at the gym with her knee.. We didn't see a doctor as nothing could have been done on the ship. So we rapped it up and hoped it would get better in a few days. As soon as we got home I called the insurance company so we can get some treatment at home.. I was told if we didn't go to a doctor while on our trip it would not be covered and a claim would be a waste of time.. Nonsense, that's why we buy insurance and did not want to use it on the ship as it would be a waste of money for the insurance company..So anytime you have any injuries go to a doctor while on your trip for the records.. Will not use them again..

I purchased for two main reasons.....in case I needed to cancel the trip as I was travelling during hurricane season and because of the medical benefits in addition to my regular health insurance especially if I needed to be take to a hospital for a medical emergency. Thankfully neither of these occurred but for the price I paid it definitely gave us some peace of mind. I felt the price as very reasonable for the benefits provided.

We purchased the insurance for our Sept. Cruise to the Bahamas. Cost half the price of Carnival's insurance policy with much more coverage. Fortunately we didn't need to use it, but it was nice knowing we had it just in case. I would purchase from C & F Travel Insurance again.

Luckily we did not have to use the plan. However we did see a passenger evacuation from our cruise ship by helicopter. I wonder if that person had insurance?

With the hurricane coming on our trip I was so happy that we had this insurance. Additionally, there was a vacationer who was taken off in a ambulance on Gran Turks seriously ill. It made me so happy that we would have been covered in case of an emergency.

The John Hancock Silver plan provides coverage up to 100,000 USD per person for unforeseen, accidental injuries or emergency illnesses which first occur during the trip, and are treated by a physician during the trip. If medical treatment is not obtained during the trip, and the traveler waits until returning home to the United States, the travel insurance expires and you will be responsible for the medical bills.
