C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
I invested in this plan specifically because I had booked a trip early in the year and it was uncertain if I would still be living in the United States or Mexico when the time came to travel. I was assured the policy would cover cancellation if I was living in Mexico and couldn't make my flights. When I called to file a claim because I was in Mexico at the time of the trip, I was told that situation was not covered. In my estimation, applying for this coverage was a waste of time and money.

    We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with our service, but you will be pleased to know that we do record all calls for the protection of our customers. Upon receiving your review, InsureMyTrip researched your call. According to the recorded conversation, our customer care representative advised that you would need to purchase Cancel for Any Reason if you wished to cancel your trip because you were moving to Mexico. She also advised that you would no longer have coverage under this policy should you move to Mexico but neglect to cancel this policy.

TripAssure Advantage Complete
Very disappointed with the service I received from both Insure My Trip and Trip Assure Advantage. I called Insure My Trip twice about who to place a claim. They wanted nothing to do with me and told me to call Trip Assure. I called Trip Assure and was told someone would call back in 24 hours but no did. I called again and no return call. I then filed my claim on line and it said it would be processed and paid in 30 days. It ended up taking over 60 days and was only paid after I followed up and was on hold for 30 minutes waiting for a customer service rep. I used to be a loyal Insure My Trip customer but since this problem I have switched to another company and I will never use Trip Assure again.
