Travelers insurance is a choice one has to make before taking a trip....it can be considered an unnecessary expense until something happens and then it becomes a very real expense. Better to be safe than sorry....

I had a medical concern while in Colombia and needed to see a doctor. GeoBlue did provide a guarantee of payment, which was helpful, although I did not end up needing it because the costs were lower than my deductible. However, I was disappointed in the lack of knowledge on the part of the representatives about the medical partners in my area; I was led to believe that I would be visiting an English-speaking urgent care clinic, while in fact I found myself at a Spanish-speaking emergency room. The representatives had no idea if their partners were hospitals, clinics, etc, or how to get in touch with them to schedule an appointment. This was very frustrating.
