Note to insureds; Always read the fine print. The "Cancel for any Reason" clause does not allow a cancellation benefit within 2 days of trip departure. For the benefit to be effective you must cancel your trip at least 2 days prior to your scheduled departure.
This plan offered the medical evacuation coverage we were most interested in. We were very pleased with the plan and the peace of mind it provided. This is the second time we have purchased the particular travel insurance plan.

Luckily, I did not have to use the insurance, so I have no idea what it would have cost if i had to be treated or evacuated.
St. Maarten is a country of uneven surfaces...The entire country is one big tripping hazard! Every doorway (even coming out of bathrooms) was either 2" up or 2" down. Walking down steps was tricky, as many steps were crumbling.
I spent the entire trip looking down. It was tedious, but successful, as I did not fall (YEH!).

We pay an annual maintenance fee to use our timeshare and I feel it should be covered if you cancel your trip due to illness. I have never had to cancel but this is always a concern

Thank you for your review regarding the International Medical Group iTravelInsured LX policy. A rented timeshare would be an insurable interest because it is an out-of-pocket expense specific to a set of travel dates and destination. Unfortunately, none of the plans offered on our website allow you to insure the maintenance fees for a timeshare that you own.
