Thankfully I didn't have to use the insurance. Hard to evaluate all aspects of the plan. I've used this policy in the past but never a claim. One feature is the ability to increase coverage with additional premiums as you incur additional trip costs.

Our airline cancelled our flight home from New Zealand the night before we were to come home! Spent two extra nights in Christchurch. not a hardship but IMG reimbursed to policy limits for the additional cost. Top notch service.

Generali is a complete racket. I have been tying for weeks to follow up on a claim and all they do is give me the run-around. Obviously they don't want to pay out the claim so they are ignoring me and hoping I'll give up. What a bunch of crooks. Will never use Insuremytrip or Generali again.

I have bought travel insurance multiple times in the past, but this was the first time I actually filed a claim. The process to file the claim online was very easy to use. I received the approval to my claim only one day after I filed it and a check arrived in the mail a week later. I was very impressed and would definitely use Generali Global Assistance for further travel insurance needs.
