I had to cancel my trip due to an accident and the plan covered my expenses.
However, the claims administrator for JH, Seven Corners was not a company that I would like to deal with again. Their website and processes are archaic which resulted in many phone calls to follow up. There is zero transparency since you only talk to a customers service rep who knows nothing about the claim. Also, if you are asked for additional information, the SLA timing starts all over upon receiving requested information.
I finally received an email saying that they are sending a check so I'm crossing my fingers that it arrives in the mail.

Our Travel Basic and Travel Select plans both offer Primary coverage, meaning you submit your claim to our Claim Administrator first, before submitting to your own personal insurance. We also have a 60 day look back window for pre-existing medical conditions. In addition, when the policy is purchased within 15 days (Travel Basic) or 21 Days (Travel Select) from the initial trip deposit, you will be eligible for the pre-existing medical condition exclusion waiver.
