Knowing that we had coverage gave us a worry free trip. Our trip was a fourteen day cruise from San Diego, through the Panama Canal, then to Fort Lauderdale. During this time we had four people taken off the ship by ambulance (while in port of course). One even had the ship doctor go with them to the hospital. Knowing that this type of emergency would be covered gave us great peace of mind.

We had no problems during the trip so did not use the insurance so have no way of knowing if the plan would have covered everything the way we thought it should nor do we have any way to judge the service provided had we needed to collect on a claim. Buying the insurance on the internet was a breeze.

The cost was very reasonable for the cover. It was good to have a plan and feel secure while traveling. There were two persons in our cruise that had a heart attack and needed to be transported out. I took a trip with my wife for the first time without the kids. As any parent would, thoughts crossed my mind about what can go wrong. Therefore, I wanted to make sure the kids were financially comfortable in case my wife and I never got back home. I opted to purchase $500K insurance for each one of us. Going on a trip to Panama was a lesser concern knowing the kids would be financially comfortable in case of unfortunate circumstances. The trip, medical and baggage insurance were a bonus.
