I was very fortunate and did not have to file a claim. Filing a claim is the only way to really evaluate whether the plan has provided good coverage. Nevertheless, having insurance gives one the feeling of security.

IMT Travel Accident Plan
Didn't need to file a claim thankfully, but the process of selecting a plan and the coverage level provided for the cost was a good value. The coverage level is what made me choose the IMT Travel Accident Plan options. Processing the order was quick and immediately received an email with my plan.

HTH Worldwide TravelGap Excursion
Our flights were delayed in Vietnam because of a typhoon in Hong Kong. I called HTH Customer Service and spoke to a young man whose attitude was kind of smarmy. When I asked him about trip interruption benefits he continually responded that they were "limited." It took him a while to actually tell me what the benefits were. He had no interest in going over the benefits I paid for and see what might be applicable to my situation. Typical insurance company baloney. There are many trip insurance companies and I would go somewhere else next time.

We market our Travel Gap Excursion primarily as a stand-alone health and accident policy. Travel Gap Excursion does not include any coverage for trip cancellation or travel delay. Rather, the Travel Gap Excursion policy provides only a limited Trip Interruption benefit, offered through HTH’s affiliate, the Global Citizens Association. International Medical Group Patriot International Lite
Fortunately, we did not submit a claim so have no first hand experience with the coverage, which is what we were buying.

Having said that, we feel we needed coverage beyond what our US plans provided, this was one of the better if not the best plans we could find, the price was reasonable, and we have no regrets with our decision. It was simple and a minor addition to the cost of our trip.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
The overall experience was good. One submitted portion of the claim was not reimbursed because all I had was a PayPal receipt but that was how the expense was paid. Only $30 dollars or so. Not enough to spend time pursuing but enough o be annoying.
