Nationwide Mutual Insurance Universal Cruise
The sign up process was easy and the price was affordable for the coverage received. The only criticism was the difficulty experienced when the cruise dates were modified. It took over 12 emails, written reports from the travel agent and a great deal of frustration to ultimately get the coverage dates modified.

    We apologize for the inconvenience when changing your cruise dates but the additional paperwork is required by Nationwide.

    If you need to amend your travel dates, our providers require proof that there were no penalties incurred and that no claims will be filed against the original policy dates. If the changes are requested after the Review Period, most companies require additional information prior to processing any changes which may include:

    Documentation from the travel suppliers showing the cancelled or transferred itinerary indicating that the trip cost was refunded or transferred and
    Documentation from the travel supplier showing the new itinerary (travel dates and trip cost).

    Once again, we apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

I paid $1148.00 for travel insurance. I missed a connection and was delayed 24 hours.
Roamright has delayed and delayed paying a paltry $267 claim for unused hotels at my destination and for the hotel and meals for the 24 hour delay. I supplied plenty of documentation, but in the latest delay they insist on seeing paid receipts for airline tickets that I am not claiming for even thou I sent copies of boarding passes showing the flights and 24 hour delay along with the airline refusal to pay due to weather.

We purchased this insurance policy to cover us for potential medical issues while out of the US since we are covered by Medicare who does not provide for coverage outside the US. While we did not incur any medical problems. it was good to know that we had provided for adequate insurance for an eventuality. It was also very good in that we bought the plan the day we travelled out of the US, This was the only policy available for purchase on the day of travel.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Plus
While I have not had to use the insure I've purchased, I am very happy with the kinds of insurance offered by Insure My Trip. I am a senior citizen and my main concern is for health care while abroad and for possible lost luggage. Also important is the ability to cancel a trip should something happen that makes it impossible for me to go. They way the website is laid out makes it easy to compare and pick the right policy for me.

GeoBlue Voyager Choice
I had already purchased trip insurance for the travel part, baggage, etc. However, I needed to get medical, dental and evacuation coverage. If you don't have to use it, that is a great result but if you do need the coverage, it is nice to have.
