As it turned out, this trip was cancelled again due to the Mexican government not allowing dive ships into the area. I contacted customer service, and after providing documentation, they are allowing me to use this policy for a future trip. (I have to book the trip by the end of the year.)
I thought it was very nice of them to allow that, since the trip had been cancelled and the dates moved once already. I would use this company in the future to insure my trips!

AIG wouldn’t cover my claim because I had moved up our trip by two weeks and hadn’t updated the dates accordingly. I claim not fair! We still had the same cruise trip and airfare expenses. They used this technicality to avoid payment.

The policy needs to have correct travel details in order for coverage to apply. I was taking a lesson on the Flowrider on the Voyager of the seas. A young boy was also taking a lesson. He fell and was injured. Later that day a medical evacuation by helicopter was performed. I don’t know if they had travel insurance . It made me realize how valuable the trip insurance was to me and how I had that peace of mind that comes with it.
