We, unfortunately, had to file a claim as we were not able to travel due to a health issue. We were careful in purchasing the plan, to make sure we understood what was covered, and made sure to keep all documentation. We did get reimbursement for the full amount that we claimed and were, of course, satisfied with that. There was a bit of delay in processing the claim. The claims agent said she was trying to get more verification from our travel agent, but somehow contacted the wrong person, and so did not get a response. I found this out when I called to inquire about the delay. My only complaint is that she asked for proof that we cancelled our airline reservations, knowing that the airlines do not provide any type of proof for that. Fortunately, our travel agent made the cancellation and verified it in writing, which was proof enough. My advice, if you need to file a claim, is just to be very careful and very thorough in keeping written records of all your transactions, especially if you make your own travel arrangements rather than going through a travel agent.
