Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
Fortunately on this trip everything went well, however, on a previous trip last spring I had to file a medical claim with IMG, and it was handled to my complete satisfaction. I absolutely recommend this company

It's great knowing you are covered in any event, and it will cost you less and cover you more than what the cruise company offers. A win-win in my opinion.

This isn't a review, but an elaboration on the first question.
I guess it's hard to say if the travel insurance I purchased provided "good coverage" since I (happily) didn't need to use it. But it seemed adequate for my needs when I read about it before purchasing it. And it gave me peace of mind to have it, so that makes it "good" to me. :-)

Had a trip to Copenhagen Denmark about May, 2022, that was interrupted by an illness. Our losses were perfectly covered by the policy; no applicable exclusions. Filed a claim in July, 2022, following the written claim procedure to the letter, with documentation (which, by the way, requires submitting the claim through Nationwide...leading to the conclusion that Trawick is either a subsidiary or its claims are serviced by Nationwide). No response other than an automated response that they are "receiving a high volume of claims." Followed up again months later. Again, no response. Followed up more than a year after the original claim. Again, no response. My conclusion is that this insurance is essentially a scam. It has now been well over a year and it is obvious they have no intention of responding. They are forcing us to take legal action. It is unfortunate that companies like Trawick/Nationwide are more than willing to take your premium but disappear when it's time for them to honor a valid claim.

Fortunately, we did not have to seek medical care while traveling on our most recent journey, so no claims were filed, but we found it reassuring to know that we had medical coverage that would help with any medical expenses we might have incurred. We had to change the dates and destinations of coverage more than once leading up to our travels, and InsureMyTrip representative assisted in the process, and in seeking and making the necessary modifications from Trawick International. The InsureMyTrip also found ways in which to reduce the overall cost of the coverage we needed.

We never had to use the insurance, which is a good thing but it was nice knowing we were covered. I believe the price was right and the plan provided all of the phone numbers we may need in case of an emergency. Thanks

I am still in Denmark. Was unable to go home as SAS cancelled all flights the 13th as I was suppose to leave the 16th. My new return SAS flight from DK to SF/CA is now sceduled for the 19th of April 2020 .
I have some medical bills from my stay here which I have not yet submitted as well as a rebooking fee with SAS
I do not have a phone here but will call you after my return to the US

We LOVE Nationwide's cruise insurance plans. On this trip, we had a medical claim and an itinerary change claim for a missed port. Both were handled promptly and paid in full.
