I purchased travel insurance for a plane ticket. When the program was canceled and my daughter had to return home, we had to purchase another flight home. After waiting 9 weeks for the claim to be processed, we were denied, saying that it was not a "covered reason". Why did I buy insurance if the trip cancellation has so many loopholes that it won't pay? I will NEVER buy insurance from you again and I travel quite a bit. Furthermore, I will review you negatively on every site I can find....and tell everyone I know NOT to use you.

Filed a claim for luggage lost by the airline. Nationwide paid the full amount for the delay AND the loss. Very happy! Would buy Nationwide again.
But, keep in mind: 1) You need receipts for the items that were lost in your luggage! Buying online (like Amazon, REI...any site that keeps purchase records) helps a great deal here. 2) It takes a number of months to file claim and receive payment. First must get airline confirmation that it's lost, then file claim with airline, then with Nationwide. 3) Keep boarding passes, luggage receipts, airline lost baggage paperwork...you'll need it all. Do all this and the claim was relatively easy.

I had an issue with my purchase that needed correction. Customer service (Cindy) was fantastic. My problem was resolved quickly and satisfactorily. Fortunately, my trip went well and I did not have to file any claims, but I would definitely purchase from InsureMyTrip again for future peace of mind.
