I filed a travel delay claim for one night hotel and one meal with BHTP. We missed our flight due to weather and ATC delays at Heathrow. Claim processed and paid within 15 days of submission. No requests for duplicate documentation. Very impressed. Left Nationwide after 9 years due to their atrocious service. Will continue to work with BHTP.

It is difficult to review the insurance because it did not have to get used. Sure, it was easy enough to buy and "seemed" to have most of what I was looking for but the true test would have come if I had to use it? How much red tape and resistance would I have encountered? Would there have been "fine print" exceptions that negated support that I assumed I had? How long would I have had to wait for financial reimbursement? Not being able to answer those questions leaves it very difficult to thoroughly and accurately assess the policy I purchased.

Since I did not need to file a claim, it is dificult to provide a true assessment of coverage. I also was late in selecting insurance, so I was unable to obtain trip cancellation. I chose insurance a couple of months after a deposit on a cruise and that delay prevented me from obtaining trip cancellation insurance. Fortuantely, I did not need it. Thank you

Previous companies had included luggage tracking ID cards in case of missing luggage which made me feel more secure. John Hancock did not. Because I did not file a claim I don’t know how well they provide service to customers. I basically had no contact with them. Next trip I will go back to my previously used company.

Was grateful to have coverage given how late I purchased the policy. Still don't know if my claim would have been denied because of the 15 day refund policy. I had no claims.
