Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
While we did not need to make a claim, we had peace of mind that any covered events would be taken care of for this trip. A trip like ours with a large investment of time and money is worth protecting!

We cancelled our trip in January, and asked if there would be any refund. We were told that no refunds are given. So, in essence. We paid for absolutely no service.

When you purchased your Worldwide Trip Protector plan back on 08/28/2018, Crum and Forster Travel Insured did offer you a 14 Day Review Period:
"FOURTEEN DAY LOOK: If You are not satisfied for any reason, You may cancel insurance under this Policy by giving the Company or the agent written notice within the first to occur of the following: (a) 14 days from the Effective Date of Your Insurance; or (b) Your Scheduled Departure Date. If You do this, the Company will refund Your premium paid provided no Insured has filed a claim under this Policy."
Since you apparently canceled this trip back on 01/22/2019, you were well outside the 14 Day Review Period, so there would be no refund of premium. However, we did transfer you to the Crum and Forster Travel Insured's claims department in the event that you wished to file a claim.
If you have additional questions, please call us at 800-487-4722 and we will be happy to assist you.
We have received the following reply from Travel Insured International | A Crum & Forster Company:
"We are sorry that you did not have a positive experience. We advise all of our customers to read the plan documents, and to reach out to us with any questions regarding our plans before, during and after their trip. We hope you consider us in the future, thank you."
Since we did not file a claim we really cannot form an opinion on how well this plan was. We feel we wouldn't know unless filing a claim to see how well the plan performed.

Having this insurance coverage provided us with peace of mind while traveling. Fortunately we did not have to file a claim and our trip went smoothly in every way.

I called in to Insure My Trip a few times. While I never got the same person twice, they obviously kept good records and I was always able to get my question answered quickly without starting over. Very friendly, patient and efficient reps. Felt they were truly trying to meet my need vs. "sell me something". Will insure the next trip sooner to offset preexisting condition issues. Daughter had issues with her back AFTER we booked the trip but BEFORE we took out insurance so she couldn't be covered. Would use again. Simple and straightforward.
