Really appreciated the app and our policy information was always accessible without having to carry around papers. Thankfully our trip went smoothly and we never had to file a claim but it gave us peace of mind to know that we were covered!

The major problem with this insurance is lack of primary medical travel insurance. The secondary medical insurance is inadequate. Other parts of insurance are adequate but fairly expensive. Next time I will try to found travel insurance with better medical coverage.

I'm actually not sure if this was a good plan or not because the communication from the people I spoke with was so convoluted. My travel was caught in the Japan multiple disasters of the worst Typhoon in decades and the Earthquake. I was stuck at the airport, my lodging and trip was in question and the two people I spoke with were indirect about my options to the point of being rude. I never got a straight answer whether I was covered or not. One person said, "we don't cover any losses from a little rain." This was a national disaster! The airport was shut down. People died. I was horrified. I asked to speak with another person and he said, "I can't do that." I hung up and called back and got another person who was a bit better but still very convoluted in her response. "Well, we can't say, but you can file a claim."
In the end, I made my trip, 2 different plane bookings later; I was 2 days late - but the hotels did not charge me. I lost a little money on plane flights but decided it was not worth the hassle with these people. I definitely do not recommend.

Thank you for contacting InsureMyTrip describing your telephone contact with the Generali Global Assistance 24 hour assistance center. We apologize that you did not receive the A+ professional assistance that travelers historically have come to expect from Generali. We have forwarded your comments to Generali's management who will incorporate your unfortunate experience in their training program to improve their phone response.
Once again, we appreciate that you brought this to our attention.
While the coverage was good and the price was reasonable, I did have one problem with them. When the tour company changed our departure date to a week later (same company, same tour, same price), the insurance company required a lot of documentation before they would agree to change the coverage dates.
