This is the second time I have used insuremytrip for international travels. With the unexpected issues from COVID and government requirements. It is comforting to know I have someone to help with expenses in case I need to isolate and help to protect my travel costs.

Trawick International Safe Travels Voyager
Plan was the best for my needs and the price was very reasonable. Fortunately I did not need to file a claim, having the policy in place gave me great peace of mind. I traveled in March with the same policy and did need to file a claim, it is still being processed. I will update my review as that proceeds, but so far other than submitting the claim I've heard nothing back.

Fortunately, we did not need to file a claim. We purchased this plan as it was highly rated for covid benefits, and that was our major concern. The price was somewhat high, compared to suggested prices on other sites, but comparable when the time came to purchase. Overall, I am satisfied and will continue to use Insure My Trip in the future.

We are just back from a 2 week visit to London and a cruise to France, Spain, Portugal and Belgium. While my credit card provides trip cancellation and trip interruption insurance, I purchased this policy for emergency medical and emergency evacuation coverage as well as Covid coverage. The Covid coverage gave me great peace of mind. While I did not file a claim, we came very close to needing to file one. We tested negative for Covid in order to fly back to the US but by the time we returned home my husband tested positive for Covid. I am glad we had this policy even if we did not need to file a claim.

Trawick International Safe Travels Voyager
It was comforting to know we had some backup if things had escalated to the point of the Ukraine situation extending throughout Europe and causing delays in scheduled airline travel. Also, with the required day before covid test to board the plane back to the US—which meant potential extra expenses—the Trawick travel insurance plan coverage made a difference had anyone in the family tested positive.

As with all insurance, as we purchased this policy trying to determine what is and isn't covered isn't clear. The only thing we wanted was "pandemic related trip cancellation" coverage (i.e. personal health/isolation, health of other passengers on trip, international travel restrictions/closures, multiple venue closures of major itinerary highlights).

Trying to make sure we had the coverage we "needed" was harder than we would have liked as the language isn't straightforward, which makes it seem like you are leaving loopholes in the policy that will result in disputes.

Luckily we didn't need it.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
Insure My Trip and the C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector plan were exactly what we needed for peace of mind on this extended and therefore, costly trip to the UK. It covered exactly what we were looking for and gave us peace of mind. We had no need to make a claim this time, but we have made a claim with C& F Travel previously and it went very smoothly. Prior to traveling, when we needed to make a date change and increase the insured amount on this UK trip, the customer service was prompt, efficient and very helpful.

WorldTrips Atlas Journey Premier
In short: The insurance company narrowly construed the language of the insurance policy to deny me coverage for my cancelled trip - even though I had to cancel my trip because Switzerland changed its policies and mandated a 10-day quarantine for all incoming travelers. Don't waste your money on this insurance company.

I planned a 2-week trip to Europe, with the first stop in Switzerland. I purchased this insurance policy specifically because it said that it covered instances when I would need to be "quarantined" because of changes in government policies. After I purchased this insurance policy, Switzerland announced that, due to the rise in Covid cases, all travelers arriving from the U.K. would need to quarantine for 10 days, regardless of vaccination status or having negative tests. I called the insurance company, told them I needed to cancel my trip because of this new mandatory quarantine policy, and asked if my insurance policy would provide coverage. The insurance company said no. The insurance company said that trip-cancellation coverage wouldn't apply because I wouldn't be required to quarantine before I left for the trip. Instead, I would be required to quarantine after my trip started (i.e., after I got on my departing flight). The insurance company further said that trip-interruption coverage would not apply because I would not be quarantining for an "unexpected event." Because I knew I would have to quarantine once I arrived in Switzerland, the event requiring me to quarantine was not "unexpected" and, therefore, I was not entitled to coverage.

Covid has created unprecedented circumstances where governments are making drastic policy changes on a moment's notice. I purchased this insurance policy to protect against that risk. But the insurance company still used hyper-technical logic to deny coverage.
