You actually got to speak to a representative when things did not go as planned!
Reps were understanding and explained things in clear English.
After I filed my claims, they called me to let me know that all had been approved and I would receive reimbursement within 1-2 weeks.
The whole experience took just about a month from them receiving my claim.

Having insurance is expensive. Not having it could be expensive too. When someone travels often the money adds up. I wish there could be some middle ground.

AXA was slow to respond to my claim. The requested supporting documents demonstrated that they had not read my claim nor had they read my plan. In fact, I was asked to provide the confirmation sheets from my own plan among the other supporting documents. It shouldn't be that difficult to file a claim on a canceled flight - it is straightforward and happens all the time. Really disappointed.

I did not file a claim. I bought the plan because I'm now in my 70's and need to be prepared. That said, I think the cost @ more than $400 for a week is excessive. I have no idea how well Generali would have preformed had I needed them. I did, however, see you have offices in both Papetee and Moorea which was comforting had I needed something.

I reached Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection ExactCare through an online insurance broker recommended by Consumer Reports.
On their website, the information was very clearly written & understood & user friendly.
They provided specific add-ons so the insurance was tailored to your needs.
The price was reasonable for what I wanted & I would recommend Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection ExactCare to anyone who needs travel insurance.

DON'T USE GENERALI. Pay a little more and get AIG, Allianz or someone else.
Our Generali policy was a cruise in Tahiti in March. I could not get anyone to answer the phone in 25 calls. When I did get a response to an email after 2 weeks of trying, they said I had to pay 40% more to change the dates to next year for exactly the same coverage with no changes other than the date.
AIG easily switched the policy dates for another trip I had planned so they are by far the better company.
GENERALI is a rip-off and InsuremyTrips shouldn't even show them as an option.
