We experience multiple flight delays, lost baggage and even missed our cruise embarkation.
The online process is very cumbersome and they ask for ridiculous information "like a copy of your homeowners" policy when "trying" to fill out a claim. The process is very difficult and there are tons of information outside of the basic information you'd assume they'd require for a claim. Unless you fill and download the entire form, it will not even let you submit any of it. I called and emailed Generali's customer service several times with no help. In fact, I was pretty much told my claim would probably be denied without even submitting it. Even though, we missed our ship and had to fly into a different port than embarkation with no luggage to catch the ship the second day. I really feel they make the process so difficult on purpose and offer little help or concern if you call a representative. I basically just gave up! even though I had much proof of the delays, lost luggage, car rental to port and missing the embarkation. Waste of money!!!

Fortunately, for as many times as we have insured our trips, we have not had to file a claim, thank goodness.
Am I satisfied with this plan? Yes, for items covered but I do not know how simple filing a claim would be.

I found Travelex to be very responsive. I explained what happened and I had to file multiple claims to cover the costs. The format was very straight forward and simple. I had the check in 15 days from filing the claim. The only negative was their third party Global Assist. They were not very helpful. They told me I had to find my own doctor! They are suppose to provide a list of doctors. Fortunately we were on a tour and the tour director was very helpful in getting me a doctor to see. I already have taken another policy with Travelex for the trip we booked for next year.

I just returned from a 4 week vacation in Europe. Everything went well on the trip and I am very thankful that I did not need the medical insurance. I was very happy that I purchased such a comprehensive policy for a good price.
The air quality in Denmark was so much better than at home and I actually had no symptoms of coughing or sinus problems.

We had a 4-hour weather delay in Copenhagen for a flight to Bergen Norway. We were concerned that the flight might be canceled forcing us to remain in Copenhagen over night. Having the insurance as a backstop helped allay our concerns.
