I aways buy the AIG Travel Guard MedEvac insurance when I travel. It is a very good value for what it offers and I am glad that it is so easy to buy on InsureMyTrip. I used to buy it from my travel agent but is such a hassle for a small amount to them. And most other people really don't want to bother selling it as it is so small.

We had some medical issues in SE Asia - pneumonia in January, dengue fever - you know, that kind of thing. Global accepted the claims online, which was much easier than my regular medical insurance company. Once I received the EOB (explanation of benefits) from my medical insurance, then Global paid the remainder (minus the deductible) quite quickly. Thank you!!!!

I was unable to find a review written by someone who actually filed a claim for this policy, so I read everything I could and made a choice. Having the policy gave both me and my husband (who didn't travel with me) a little extra peace of mind, but we were among the many who didn't have to use it. Was the coverage good? I'm not sure, since I didn't have to file a claim. Was the cost reasonable? I don't know, but for me the comfort of having it was worth the price.
