Upon arrival in Nicaragua, I contacted a severe upper respiratory virus. Not knowing if it was a 'flu', an MD evaluated me. I got a thorough exam along with prescriptions. American Express Classic was prompt in the reimbursement! I always ensure that I have trip cancellation/interruption insurance, but what I didn't for see was the need for trip delay coverage. I didn't have it and it cost me an additional $300.00 for a Miami airport hotel due to the closed airports during the January storm. If I travel again from the NE during the winter months, I will check policies to ensure that option would be available.
