AXA Assistance USA is part of the AXA Group, one of the world's largest and financial companies servicing over 95 million people worldwide, with over 60 years of experience in the travel insurance industry.
This plan was fine except for one thing. I wanted to extend my initial trip by one day at a cost of $550 over the initial trip. The quoted cost of insurance for this extra day exceeded $1000. This makes no sense from a company that otherwise would seem to have a solid reputation.

Bought the insurance in good faith including car rental coverage. Claim was denied even though completely legitimate documentation was provided.
Then my InsureMyTrip advocate intervened. They enabled more dialog with the insurance carrier and eventually the claim was processed fairly. Two thumbs up for InsureMyTrip.

Purchased an AXA Assistance USA Platinum Plan for a trip to Africa. I was unable to go due to an illness. Long story short, the plan paid the the amount of the claim. I received a check for $11,600. The service was good, and no hassles. I will purchase another AXA policy for our future travels. Highly recommend.

They covered our prepaid hotel cost up to the plan limit due to our delayed flight. They requested one more documents with their claim form than their rep told me to collect when I contacted them during the delay, but I had this. They confirmed receipt of our claim and said it would be processed within one month. I did not hear back until I contacted them after a month. I have now received a confirm that the claim will be paid within 10 - 15 business days.

I have no idea if they would have provided good coverage had I needed it, since I did not have to make a claim. I know they turned down my claim I had on the last trip prior to this. Fortunately, my trip this time went without any snags.
