I was looking for a "Cancel for Any Reason" policy. I had purchased a policy like this for another trip that I took 4 years ago and it offered a 100% cancellation payment should I need to use it. I could not find 100% when searching for a policy for this trip. The AXA Assistance USA Gold offered 75% payment. It was the best value for the price.

First time we got Travel Insurance; but it was a big trip with the major cost non-refundable. The trip went fine except due to a travel interruption we lost one night (non-refundable) of lodging. Filed a claim which was very easy to do. Within a week or so after they received our claim forms, they cut us a check for that nights lodging. Can't argue with that. Highly recommend AXA Assistance USA!!!!

Several years ago, InsureMyTrip offered a couple of Cancel For Any Reason polices that reimbursed up to 80-90% of the trip cost. Now, the maximum limit for Cancel For Any Reason is 70-75% of the trip cost.
