I did not need to use the plan, but I felt at ease having it. Will always get it when I leave the country for peace of mine. A friend of mine who I travel w/never gets overseas medical insurance and she broke her back overseas. If the break had been an unstable one, she would have lost everything.

Our needs changed long after we set up the insurance coverage and still well before our departure date. The plan would not allow us to increase our coverage.
Also, we had two assigments to fulfill on our trip. As a complete surprise, both of these assignments collapsed due to factors in at our England destination. This entirely changed our travel plans and needs but I am not clear as to whether we would have been covered had we decided to cancel our travel.

Luckily we did not need to utilize our plan but watching the plight of the Thomas Cooke travelers made us glad that we had a safety net. We will always protect our travel with an insurance policy because the world is wide and wonderful but things can go wrong.
