Bought the plan for wife and self months ahead of trip.
Our plane connect in Pittsburgh was delayed in disembarking at the gate because the gates were all full due to inclement weather. My claim clearly explained this but Generali denied it because they called it a "gate delay" and not a weather delay. We were clearly delayed and told by the airline the delay was due to inclement weather.
This was an egregious denial to call a major rainstorm delay a gate delay!!!
The claim was finally paid but only after a denial or two and a several more back and forth emails with InsureMyTrip.

Did not have to file a claim, so I can't rate whether I would recommend the company. I do know that if you need to file a claim, the # 1 recommenation I can give is "HOLD ON TO ALL OF YOUR RECEIPTS".
