The GeoBlue Voyager Essential is a single-trip medical plan which offers emergency medical coverage while you are traveling abroad. This plan does not require you to have primary health insurance in place. Medical coverage on this plan includes an exclusion for pre-existing conditions, but there is still coverage for emergency medical evacuation whether it is due to a known condition or not. With this plan, you have the ability to select the medical limit, and also the deductible amount that you are most comfortable with.

I filed a claim, but didn't hear back for two weeks now. Finally they send me a letter telling me that the two claims I filed are not covered.
The two claims were for change of travel plans due to hazardous weather conditions. Local authorities closed the harbor and sent out a notice for safety warning for the entire city. I lost money on the ferry and the hotel that I would have used!

I had no need to use it, & the process of signing up was next to impossible. I could not do it on line. Needed a Customer Representative, to finally sign up after 2 frustrating days on the computer.

Tho I did not use the plan, I felt very safe with the wording of the plan...and felt I could use it if needed. I have traveled extensively in the past overseas and this plan covered what was needed.

Please note, my review is based upon my purchase of insurance only, thankfully I had a safe trip and did not have to use/file an actual clamp. I was pleased with my purchase and have bought insurance from this company on prior trips. Based upon my dealings, yes, I recommend them.

Geo Blue offered the only plane I could find that offered direct billing instead of waiting for reimbursement. While there is no guarantee that the provider you go to would agree to direct bill at least it is a possibility.
Fortunately we had no claims so therefore no experience filing a claim. Still the company provides good service and the documentation you will need to initiate a claim or show proof of insurance. Well worth the money to have peace of mind!

Although I didn't need to use my plan it did made hiking, biking and driving all over Ireland a lot more relaxing knowing that should I need it, I had that safety net. I will be using insuremytrip and Geoblue for future trips, both were very easy to work with and I received my quotes and documentation within the hour of placing the order.

It's hard to write a review on something you didn't use, that's a good thing. I did, however, have peace of mind that if something did happen I had some coverage to take care of it until I could get back to the states where my personal coverage would kick in.
