We always get trip insurance and we have never filed a claim, which is good, but it always feels like money going out the window for nothing. I also think the cost has gone way up since we used it last year. Will still probably buy for next trip but sure hurts the pocket.

Glad I didn't have to use it. But isn't that is what insurance is for? Peace of mind that if something does happen you wil have help. On my river cruise one passenger did have a stroke. Had to under go surgery in a foreign country. This made me aware that if it was my wife or me, we would be covered. I can also say that InsureMyTrip.com was a great site to shop for travel insurance. Helped me make my decision based on my need. They were great with follow up and have a great band to load on your smartphone just in case you need help or need to talk with someone. Highly recommend this company. Easy to work with.

This website was fabulous, made it easy to compare and review the type of coverage we needed. Luckily, the trip went smoothly and we did not need to place a claim. But, will look to this site for all of our future needs for future expensive travels.

Two day meal costs in Europe were not reimbursed which we paid for out of pocket. These meals were included with our trip which we were unable to enjoy due to Delta canceling our stateside interconnecting trans atlantic flight. Delta much later rebooked us from orlando to miami then to amsterdam rather than munich. Our original itinerary was Orlando to Atlanta then to Munich. Never again with Delta. Our ages are 73 and 77 years and both my wife and I had NO sleep for two and a half days. I mean zero sleep.We did not charge any hotels because we were on trains - waiting - trains - waiting and more. Not at all happy with the insurance provider cutting out our minimal meal cost of only sixty dollars as we grabbed a sandwich here and there but the costs were very high every where in Europe.

Each Company will base the premiums of their plans by 3 main factors; (1) the ages of the travelers, (2) the length of your trip from home to home and (3) the total cost of your pre-paid trip cost. As the traveler's ages change, trip costs increase or event the length of the trip is extended, the prices will also change accordingly
