No one can know for sure how good any insurance plan (or any insurance company) is until you need to file a claim for something, which I did not have to do for this trip. Therefore, I cannot honestly or accurately rate whether the plan I purchased is any good or not - and also whether the insurance company offering me the plan is reputable or not. All I can say for sure is that the coverages I wanted were included in the plan I purchased - and the cost I paid for the plan was acceptable to me.

Although the Global Alert plan provides a good package overall, be aware that if you have to file a claim, you are in for a prolonged struggle. Our Global Alert claim was processed by a company called Trip Mate. Trip Mate uses every tactic to delay payment as long as possible. Expect misinformation, conflicting communication, lost evidence, erroneous data entry, etc. With all the issues, Trip Mate is either very incompetent or intentionally deceptive. If you file a claim, be relentless in your pursuit of justice!

On my previous trip I had a medical problem. [Global Alert] handled it promptly & efficiently; that is why I signed with them this time. Fortunately, I did not need to use it but felt confident & secure that they would have done a fine job if needed. The cost is reasonable for the coverage that I wanted.
