We were fortunate enough to have no health issues on our trip,but our friend had a problem and had to see the ship's Doctor. We were all relieved that we had insurance just in case.

On a previous trip I had to file a claim which was handled quickly with no problem. No claim this trip but peace of mind knowing I had the insurance.

    Your last trip, which experienced the claim, was insured through a different provider that was also available with InsureMyTrip. However, you would have been as happy with the service and care provided by Global Alert should you have experienced another claim.

This was the worst ever. When you pay for insurance and you can not go on a trip particularly due to medical reasons that were quite catastrophic, the last thing you need is to have to call for MONTHS to get it settled. All documentation was provided, all doctors and hospital notes and all T's crossed and I's dotted. you will eventually get your money but you will have to make at least 2 or 3 dozen calls with just being told, I don't know what is going on, it has been approved...we agree with you....dont know why you don't have the check. It was escalated several times, this was a horror, I will NEVER use them again. You have to BEG for your money!

Glad I didn't have to use it. But isn't that is what insurance is for? Peace of mind that if something does happen you wil have help. On my river cruise one passenger did have a stroke. Had to under go surgery in a foreign country. This made me aware that if it was my wife or me, we would be covered. I can also say that InsureMyTrip.com was a great site to shop for travel insurance. Helped me make my decision based on my need. They were great with follow up and have a great band to load on your smartphone just in case you need help or need to talk with someone. Highly recommend this company. Easy to work with.

We had to cancel the trip to to a medical problem my wife experienced. We had a no pre-existing condition clause included in the policy. I submitted all of the requested documentation including copies of credit card statements, a letter from the doctor and an attending physicians statement that the doctor completed. Even with all of this they fought paying out the claim. They kept making excuses and asking for more documentation.

Three months after I filed my claim, I finally contacted InsureMyTrip and was provided with an advocate to assist me in getting my claim resolved. The advocate called me 1 day after I contacted her and told me that my claim was resolved and I would have a check within a week. I only wish I had asked for assistance sooner.

Thanks to their help, I will buy all of my travel insurance from InsureMyTrip.

Since we didn't have to use the plan, it's hard to say how good it is. We were afraid we would have to use it because of a family member and was glad we had it. I hope it would have covered our needs had we needed to cancel or cut our trip short.

We had to cancel 2-3 weeks prior to leaving for our 2 week cruise due to a medical event. When I called to find out what I needed to do, the representative was very kind and patient and provided me clear directions over the phone and then emailed the packet to me. I didn't deal with it for about 3 weeks. I finally put the information together; copies of credit card receipts and invoices and submitted via email. They have an online system where you can track the status of your claim. I received the refund we expected in about 3 weeks.
