Spoke to a representative who walked me through the best plan available for the money. Was a great experience no pressure to select a specific plan etc. Fortunately did not need to exercise the plan but knowing it was a available provided assurance that I could sleep well each night. Would use Insuremytrip again for our next adventure.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. After purchase, Global Alert! emails a purchase confirmation which can be printed and carried with you on the trip. The purchase confirmation is a one page document which includes the purchase details, contact information, and schedule of benefits. My return flight was canceled so I extended my trip one more day - I called the ins. co. and was given an email address as it was on the weekend and told they would reply within two days. In the email, I explained the issue about wanting to extend the policy one day - I never got a reply until I sent the email again 5 days later along with a copy to InsureMyTrip - then shortly thereafter I got a reply.

So it sounds like we need to have the date of the policy to end the day after you return home, in case the return flight is cancelled, as they did not cover the extra day this flight cancellation caused her.Dec 09,2011

While we were gone, our dog had a life-threatening experience. We realized that there is a gap in coverage for pet emergencies. That said, the plan we purchased fit our other needs perfectly. We would be happy to purchase the same plan again in the future.
