As a general it is a good plan very competitive to others.. I don't know how it would work in reality though, as thank God never need it!!

I found myself scrambling to extend coverage when Hurricane Irene caused our flight to be canceled, and I needed to wait abroad for three days for a new flight. The plan should automatically extend if return to US is delayed by a flight cancellation. I won't always have Internet service to extend the coverage.
