My trip ended 3 1/2 weeks early due an emergency funding issue. When I called to seek a partial refund, I was told I should have called before departure rather than after I arrived home. Other than "that is our company policy," no other reason or explanation was provided. Given the high cost of the policy, it seems unreasonable.

I purchased this plan for my kids when they want to Mexico and thankfully I did not have to use so I am completely satisfied. I don't think sending a review on this type of plan is appropriate.

It is really difficult to give a meaningful review of this coverage, because my trip was mostly uneventful in terms of the serious problems that this coverage is meant to help with. No lost luggage or flight disruptions of any kind. And, of course, I am writing this, so the ADD coverage could only be rated by my sweet widow had I perished during the trip. I am thankful that such a review is impossible!

Listing all the plan's options online would've been helpful (and making sure CSRs are fully informed about the products). When I called, I was told by more than one CSR the available options would not cover me for parts of my specific trip (climbing/mountaineering above 14,000 feet). I was then told a few days later by another rep that there was an option that would cover me for all of it, including climbing above 14,000 feet (we were climbing to just under 20,000 feet, on Kilimanjaro).
