TravCan from InsureAssist is an economy comprehensive trip cost protection plan which covers you in the event that you have to cancel or interrupt your trip for a covered reason. As well as including trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage, the plan also includes baggage, travel delay, medical, emergency medical evacuation and accidental death and dismemberment coverages.

Since I didn't need to file a claim, I really don't know what would have been covered and what would not have been covered under the InsureAssist TravCan plan. Keep in mind that the lower priced insurance may not cover all of the travel costs you may have paid like visa costs if your travel provider cancels your trip.

Even though I did not file a claim. I was very happy with the process to be insured. What I really liked was the email I received just before my trip began summarizing the coverage and all pertinent phone numbers I would need.

We had no claims on our trip to Morocco, but were pleased that InsureMyTrip sent us a reminder a few days before we left, suggesting that we print our confirmation and take the information with us in case we needed to file a claim while traveling. When we couldn't find the original confirmation, they quickly emailed us another copy, and we did take it with us. This company impressed us by not just trying to sell insurance, but actually looking out for the policyholders.

It took me 5 phone calls and 3 emails to the claims administrator before they agreed to pay the cost of claim submitted.
