The TravCan Premier plan is the higher-end comprehensive trip cost protection plan from InsureAssist as it offers greater coverage limits and more options than the TravCan plan. If you are concerned about any pre-existing medical conditions that might affect your travel, this plan will waive the pre-existing conditions exclusion if purchased within 21 days of the initial trip payment and if the full cost of the trip is insured.

This plan is with a reputable company, and has pretty comprehensive coverage for the cost. Thankfully we did not have to file a claim so I cannot comment on the quality or timeliness of the response of the claims department.

Although I eventually got my money back, it took a couple of months with many faxes, phone calls and emails. My claim was finally processed fairly, but it was not prorcessed promptly.

Plan provided all the coverage we needed on the cruise. When filing medical claims, called them, and they promptly emailed claim forms. Gathered all required info and submitted all forms via email. Claim processed promptly.

I did not submit a claim. When you advance and prepay a significant sum of non-refundable money, it only makes sense to protect that investment in your trip. I enjoyed my trip and was more at ease leading up to departure knowing I had the insurance coverage.

We contacted Insure Assist when we arrived home to tell them my Canon 60D camera had been stolen in Sydney, Australia. They provided information for us to file a claim. We had filed a claim with our regular home owner's insurance. When they paid us a partial payment, we submitted this information along with our documentation to Insure Assist. We filed the claim 11/24/14 and were notified they would make payment on 12/10/14. Received the check about a week after that on 12/19/14. Very pleased with this company. Have used them in the past for travel insurance and will continue to use them as the need arises. Very, very pleased with their handling of the claim and their personnel.
