The TravCan Premier plan is the higher-end comprehensive trip cost protection plan from InsureAssist as it offers greater coverage limits and more options than the TravCan plan. If you are concerned about any pre-existing medical conditions that might affect your travel, this plan will waive the pre-existing conditions exclusion if purchased within 21 days of the initial trip payment and if the full cost of the trip is insured.

The coverage was good, at a competitive price. We didn't have to file a claim, so can't comment on the claims process.

Fortunately we had no need to use our policy, but last year we did. Our trip to Croatia was aborted because my wife came down with shingles in her right ear. She was very sick. My claim was fully covered. A good company to do business with.

Although we did not need to file a claim, a fellow traveler did sustain a broken wrist while traveling, which made us glad we had coverage as we could have had an injury while traveling.
