The TravCan Premier plan is the higher-end comprehensive trip cost protection plan from InsureAssist as it offers greater coverage limits and more options than the TravCan plan. If you are concerned about any pre-existing medical conditions that might affect your travel, this plan will waive the pre-existing conditions exclusion if purchased within 21 days of the initial trip payment and if the full cost of the trip is insured.

My only issue with the plan was that lost baggage coverage is secondary. I had the option of buying a more expensive plan with all coverage primary. It was my choice save money to go with secondary lost baggage. In the future, I think I'll stick with all primary coverage to greatly reduce the paperwork should I make a claim. Luckily, I've never needed to make a claim on any travel insurance I've ever purchased.

Thank you! I purchased this coverage being very cautious, but never intending to use it. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip and InsureAssist's claims team was fabulous through the entire process. Reimbursement was quick!! Highly recommend your entire team!

We were on a cruise. Our plan covered Medical, Evacuation, Trip Cancellation (for covered reasons) and cruise line Bankruptcy. As you get older, the premium goes up. I may scale back future trip coverage to Medical and Evacuation to keep the cost down. InsureMyTrip's plan comparison tool is great.

My responses are preliminary as the true measure of the plan's quality can only be determined after a claim has been processed. Fortunately none was required, however the uncertainty remains..

I fell and broke a tooth while in a remote and rural area of Thailand just a few days before my planned return to USA. I sent an email claim to Nationwide alerting them that I could not find medical assistance where I was and would get medical/dental attention the very next day that I returned to civilization(USA). I did that and then submitted the paid bill with my claim officially to the carrier. That was just rejected on the grounds that I should have gotten emergency treatment while in Thailand, which I explained was unavailable. That is unreasonable and unfair and was a sour and dissatisfied end to me doing business with you and Nationwide.

I apologize for the inconvenience and your experience on your trip. Unfortunately, claims departments will need proof the incident happened while on your covered trip. If you did not seek treatment of any kind there is no way to certify it happened on your trip.Mar 12,2014

I really would know if it was a good plan because i didn't have to use it. The only way to know if the purchase was good is something had to have happened that warranted a claim, other than that we wouldn't know. One suggestion is in the event nothing happens to warrant a claim then a credit should be issued for at least a portion of the premium. I know you have to make money and premiums pay claims, but what about a money back option if nothing happens that will keep me coming back to InsureAssist every time I travel.
