Prior to purchasing this insurance policy I researched many other policies with other companies and found this plan had all the coverage I was looking for at a great price. It gave me peace of mind to know if something came up before my trip I could cancel and not lose all the money I paid for the trip. I also felt at ease knowing that if an accident were to happen on vacation my medical care would be covered as well as emergency transportation back to the U.S. That was a huge factor in deciding to purchase this insurance. I had an accident on a prior vacation and had to go to the emergency room. I didn't have travel insurance then but luckily I was in the U.S. and knew my regular health insurance would cover things. I wasn't going to take that chance on this trip as I was traveling to Mexico. I couldn't imagine having to seek emergency medical care in Mexico or having to pay for medical transportation back to the States. Knowing I had an InsureAssist TravCan Premier policy allowed me enjoy my vacation and not have to worry about "what if". Thankfully I didn't have to use the plan but I still feel it was money well spent and I won't hesitate to look into purchasing another plan for my future travel needs.

I had to cancel our trip due to the death of my wife. I filed a claim to recover my non-refundable deposit of $500.00. Within a week or two I received a check for the full amount of my claim. I was very pleased with how my claim was handled with no hassle I will use this service again.

The only way to truly know if this is a good plan is when you need to file a claim. Fortunately, I did not need to file a claim.

I did not use the policy but following an 11 hour flight from Athens, when my connector flight threatened to delay, I was feeling glad I was carrying 6 hour travel delay coverage. The one hour flight was supposed to leave at 6 pm but the airline had to search for another plane, and that was looking to be a long night. Since I received a generous voucher for part of my airline ticket, my one concern for the policy as a whole was that there was not a high enough coverage limit available for a worse case travel delay or interruption (since it is limited by the amount paid for the trip not including the voucher), however I believe all insurers have this limitation. I did have very good coverage for a more common delay such as an all night delay at the airport.
