The TravCan Premier plan is the higher-end comprehensive trip cost protection plan from InsureAssist as it offers greater coverage limits and more options than the TravCan plan. If you are concerned about any pre-existing medical conditions that might affect your travel, this plan will waive the pre-existing conditions exclusion if purchased within 21 days of the initial trip payment and if the full cost of the trip is insured.

Had a small baggage related claim. Settlement was fair financially. Communication wasn't absolutely speedy, but was on par with other insurance claims I have made with other companies. We purchased from this company again for another trip.

We had an injury on our trip that resulted in medical expenses and trip interruption. The claims were processed promptly and we were reimbursed as expected. The claims team was very helpful in getting us started and answering our questions.

Due to traveling independently and booking transportation, lodging and excursions over several months, we had to ask a lot of questions about what expenses to cover and when to cover them. The InsureMyTrip customer service was very helpful in explaining how this works in general and in particular with each insurer. The representatives were pretty consistent, although not 100% in sync. There is a lot of room for interpretation--some probably err to the side of caution. Never assume anything specific based on a general answer, and never assume anything general based on a specific answer!

I always get my travel insurance from InsureMyTrip and I have sent many of my friends to your website to get their travel insurance, too. Great customer service; your people are wonderful on the phone and I have no doubt that should I ever need to make a claim, I will find the process smooth and satisfactory.

You buy insurance for the terrible, just in case. So, you have to be comfortable spending (in my case) hundreds of dollars, even if you don't need it. I do wish the plan provided a cost reduction for purchase of medications for travel to exotic locations. I took malaria medications for my trip, and, for the 2 of us, it was about $150. In my opinion, there should be some credit to my insurance or the insurance company should offer a reduced cost for these travel related medications. After all, not getting malaria helps the traveler and the insurance provider.
