If you are concerned about any pre-existing medical conditions that might affect your travel, this plan will waive the pre-existing conditions exclusion if purchased within 21 days of the initial trip payment and if the full cost of the trip is insured.

You buy insurance for the terrible, just in case. So, you have to be comfortable spending (in my case) hundreds of dollars, even if you don't need it. I do wish the plan provided a cost reduction for purchase of medications for travel to exotic locations. I took malaria medications for my trip, and, for the 2 of us, it was about $150. In my opinion, there should be some credit to my insurance or the insurance company should offer a reduced cost for these travel related medications. After all, not getting malaria helps the traveler and the insurance provider.

Since my health insurance provide coverage for overseas medical needs, I like to see a plan that emphasizes trip interruption, medical evacuation, and hospitalization, especially since most credit cards now covers lost baggage and other minor issues. Thank you.

Signing up was painless and allowed me to tailor my options. I really appreciated having a reminder email with a link to a PDF of the policy sent to me a day or so before I left. I was happy to not need to use it, but since I was traveling solo on another continent, the peace of mind it gave me to have this coverage was worth way more than the premium!

Peace of mind is the greatest value in the world. I was burned for over $7000.00 on a trip I didn't insure. I thought I was young, why do I need to insure. Bad move. Now I always insure and Insure my trip has been the most reasonable price and best coverage.
