The TripMed plan from InsureAssist offers medical coverage for single trips that are taken outside of your home country. With this plan, you can choose the Medical limit and also the deductible amount that you are most comfortable with and that best fits your budget. There is an additional option for hazardous activities coverage which provides coverage for activities such as sky diving, bungee cord jumping and scuba diving.

I was happy with the plan I purchased. One suggestion is to build an iPhone app where I can easily locate my coverage info. When I travel, I often don't have access to data on my phone and it's not practical to search email.

It was easy to sign up for this insurance, although I did not need it I was confident that I had coverage as Medicare does not cover you if you travel out of the country.
