With this plan, you can choose the Medical limit and also the deductible amount that you are most comfortable with and that best fits your budget. There is an additional option for hazardous activities coverage which provides coverage for activities such as sky diving, bungee cord jumping and scuba diving.

My health plan does not cover overseas treatment, and since we are getting older, such coverage is prudent, and travel insurance provides that. Fortunately, we didn't require any treatment.
I thought we might need to file a claim when an expensive balloon ride was cancelled due to weather, but the operator returned our money.

Since there were no incidents that triggered use of the plan, I cannot comment on its effectiveness. However, I purchased this plan based on recommendations by experienced travelers, but found that even after contacting InsureMyTrip I still did not understand what was actually covered.

The real test of an insurance plan comes when you file claims. Fortunately, I did not have the need to file any claims. But I must say that the site did make comparing and selecting a plan simple and made the process easy. The purchase of the plan certainly gave me peace of mind on my trip.
