According to them the only thing that's covered is if you drop dead or immediate family member drops dead for trip interruption. My trip was interrupted to unforeseen medical emergency that prolonged my trip for me and had to stay in Mexico to released by doctor. When I call them the guide me they basically said too bad so sad. On a recorded line supposedly. So don't get fooled by what you read that they cover cuz they don't it's a scam . Do your homework before you purchase.

Thankfully I didn't have to use the insurance. Hard to evaluate all aspects of the plan. I've used this policy in the past but never a claim. One feature is the ability to increase coverage with additional premiums as you incur additional trip costs.

I purchased this policy for the benefit of having Rental Car coverage and medical coverage on my trip to Costa Rica. It gave me peace of mind knowing that I was covered and did not have to purchase the $25/day Rental Car Insurance offered by Alamo. Also knowing that any emergency medical situations were covered during our trip is a nice way to relax and enjoy our trip to the fullest..

Great plan, thankfully didn't have to use it, but always good to have peace of mind.
Might want to reconsider the name "Patriot". It has negative connotations in for half of Americans. I almost didn't choose that plan.

It is debateable at best. We purchased insurance coverage last summer, and the trip was cancelled due to the war in Israel, cancelled by the organizing group and agency. We got some an email from the insurer when requesting refund of paid monies for insurance puchased that stated: "there is insufficient extenuating circumstances described to allow cancellation at this time." Seriously???
