The MEDEX TravMed Choice Inbound is available to non-U.S. residents who need medical coverage while traveling on trips up to one year in length to the U.S. There are multiple medical limits to select from, ranging from $10,000 to $250,000. This plan also offers Emergency Medical Evacuation and Accidental Death and Dismemberment benefits, as well as hazardous sports coverage.

It is particularly difficult to comment on the adequacy - or otherwise - of a medical insurance without having been through the claims procedure - which, fortunately, we have not had to do.
However, we would like to see cover offered - perhaps optionally - for cancellation of air fares; other pre-booked items of expenditure can usually be cancelled without loss - provided that time limits are observed. Ticket conditions can be very restrictive and lead to the loss of the whole fare if a holiday has to be cancelled.
Similarly, cover for some items such as repatriation costs for children could be made optional - not everyone travels with children!
We have found this insurance to be particularly valuable as, although citizens of the UK, we are (with one exception that I know of) unable to get travel/ medical insurance from a UK company as we are resident in France - Heaven knows why!

I purchased my travel insurance on 6/26/13 utilizing email fulfillment to "expedite" the process. However, despite repeated emails to customer service and assurances I would obtain the actual policy info from Medex "immediately" I did not receive the actual insurance documents and ID card from Medex until 7/3/13, a week later!
While I understand InsureMytrip is the facilitator in this matter, I simply fell through the cracks while waiting for documents I should have received immediately. Bottom line, there was no basis in this situation to be happy with the poor customer service I received.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, there was a delay in transmitting policy information for FrontierMedex policies during a short period of time around the date you purchased your policy. This has now been corrected. At first a had an aweful experience looking for insurance to cover my short travel to the United Staes. Once I found your company, I had a really good time understanding and purchasing the insurance that best fit for my visit to the U.S. I will certainly recommend my Country fellows in Panama to purchase your insurance.

It was very quick and easy to obtain the insurance and the plan details were emailed to me immediately upon purchase. It was also easy to ensure everyone in my party, including my 72 year old dad. I thought it was bit pricey but cheaper plans that I found did not provide as much coverage.
