The Advantage Complete plan offers the highest limits of coverage of the four TripAssure plans, offering a broad range of covered reasons for Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. Under Trip Cancellation there is Hurricane warning coverage, which is beneficial if you will be traveling during hurricane season and you have to cancel your trip within 24 hours of the scheduled departure date due to a hurricane. As well as offering Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption, this plan also offers Cancel For Any Reason. Optional extended personal property coverage is available as well as optional sports coverage.

Very disappointed with the service I received from both Insure My Trip and Trip Assure Advantage. I called Insure My Trip twice about who to place a claim. They wanted nothing to do with me and told me to call Trip Assure. I called Trip Assure and was told someone would call back in 24 hours but no did. I called again and no return call. I then filed my claim on line and it said it would be processed and paid in 30 days. It ended up taking over 60 days and was only paid after I followed up and was on hold for 30 minutes waiting for a customer service rep. I used to be a loyal Insure My Trip customer but since this problem I have switched to another company and I will never use Trip Assure again.

I had to cancel because I suffered a stroke. All that was at risk was the deposit which was about the same as the insurance costs. The claim has still not been paid and the service is utterly atrocious. I am convinced that if not for insuremytrip’s Gail’s intervention there is no chance of getting a claim paid short of litigation. I do not understand, though why insuremytrip sells this company’s policies. They are risking getting sued.

The purpose of getting insurance is that anything can happen at any time. It was good to know that my trip was covered in case of cancellation beyond my control. The premium was good considering the trip cost. Overall, I am pleased.

Thankfully we did not have to use it for any claims but it was wonderful knowing it was in place should we have to. My only concern is the price of the policy which is how it is with any insurance plan. The price seemed high, $700 for a $5400 trip. But for the coverage, if we had needed it, it was a relief knowing it was there. I will always use InsureMyTrip for trip insurance rather than what the cruise or airline companies offer. I love the choice of selecting the product.

This M.H. Ross plan seemed to provide the most coverage for our trip vs. other companies' plans, which is why we purchased it. When I was comparing plans I not only talked to the reps at InsureMyTrip.com, but I also called M.H. Ross. I have to say that the rep there didn't seem to be that familiar with the elements of the plan(s) I was inquiring about and weren't that interested in being helpful, it felt. Thankfully, we did not have a claim, so I cannot comment on what it'd be like to actually use it.

I do wish that one of these days some travel insurance company would include pets getting sick or passing away as one of the covered reasons for cancelling a trip. Pets are family members, too, and if they have a crisis one might have to cancel or postpone a trip just as if a human family member had a crisis. As it stands now, the only way to get even partial coverage to protect against pet crises is to purchase the "cancel for any reason" option. I surely hope that either M.H. Ross or some other company starts including pets in the list of legitimate reasons someone might have to cancel their trip.

Since I didn't file a claim it is impossible to rate claims service or coverage. I was amazed that other travelers relied on standard coverage supplied by the cruise lines to cover potential problems. Medical transport alone would far exceed those policy limits.
