Since we didn't have to use the plan, I can't review how helpful it was. But I did think the price was reasonable, the service was great, and it seemed very professional. Just knowing that we had this evacuation only plan was comforting, as we were climbing over rocky terrain (big boulders) and one misstep could result in a bad ankle or shoulder, or worse. We were in the Galapagos, where rescue operations could be very costly, and I would recommend some kind of plan for anyone traveling there. But, as I said .... we never had to use it, and that's where the proof of the pudding lies.

The customer service was fantastic prior to my purchase. This was the first time I ever flew this far from home. Needless to say I had many questions and concerns. Every time I called they more more then helpful, spending as much time with me as I needed. They never tried to up sell me and in fact told me about the plan I needed which was 2 to 3 times less than what I was thinking. Very good customer service.

I don't want to have to be evacuated from a foreign country because of a medical issue, so I don't want to use my insurance. That said, I feel reassured when I have a policy in place while I am traveling.

We wanted a basic plan that covered evacuation to a hospital of our choice at a reasonable price. Fortunately, we did not have to file a claim. We would consider using insuremytrip for future travel.

We felt it was wise to have airlift insurance while in an area of Nicaragua where otherwise travel by canoe and horseback was the only way in and out. Fortunately we did not have any reason to make a claim.

After reading the contract, I am glad I did not require any of the services. So many conditions that it would seem almost impossible to qualify for benefits without paying for them myself. But the price was right and worth the risk.
