I had to file a claim. The procedure to file was easy enough but it took forever for the check to arrive. Also there was an issue with the check and I'm trying to get re-sent. They have not responded to any emails or communications at all.

I took out the insurance because I was doing a cruise to Mexico. We had many problems because of the hurricane in Florida. Lost our flight and hotel reservations. I tried contacting the phone number on the paperwork several times but nobody ever answered. We were on our own.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. After you purchased the policy you were emailed a confirmation of coverage. In that email, you were provided with the 24 Hour Emergency Assistance phone numbers. Roam Right has both a toll free number and a number that you can call collect from overseas.

Tried to claim due to Hurricane Harvey but the coverage was worse than useless. I was told by customer service there 2 very strict reasons for claiming during a hurricane for which we did not qualify. Never mind that we couldn't get to the airport. Won't be purchasing from them again.

As a travel insurance comparison website, we offer a wide range of plans which cover Hurricane warnings and mandatory evacuations at the destination, and other inclement weather related concerns. We purchased the cancel for any reason option and we ended up cancelling due to an illness. We had to follow up a couple of times but they paid the claim as we requested and will definitely use them again.

As our "Unparalleled Customer Service" promised, we assigned an advocate to your claim. The advocate immediately contacted RoamRight claims department who advised that the amount of your refund was correct as the claim was filed using the Cancel for Any Reason clause which reimbursed you for 75% for your prepaid non-refundable travel expenses.
Regarding the issue with the check being made out in the wrong name, it was unfortunate that your request to make the check payable to another party was received after the check was issued on September 21, 2017. RoamRight did put a stop payment on that check and issued another check in the correct name. We are sorry to hear that the process took an additional 44 days before you received the reissued check.
