Broad definition of "family member," which includes spouse's parents and grandparents. Other policies don't cover in-laws.

Fortunately, I had no need to use the insurance plan...but I will comment that it was easy to choose what I wanted/needed and purchasing the plan was a snap! Insuremytrip website does a great job of letting you compare plans and pricing. This is my fifth time using the site and I've been pleased each time with the ease of use.

As far as the cost and coverage I am quite satisfied and will use you guys again for our next overseas trip. To really rate your company I would have to see how a claim would be handled (which thankfully was not necessary). It was nice to know that I did have coverage if it was needed.

Before the policy started I wanted to change one 17 year old's name. My son was taking a friend and the first one could not go so we took someone else. I had this same experience last year with a different insurance company and they allowed me to make the change. Very disappointed that I had to purchase a separate policy.

plan provided peace of mind at a fair price. Since I didnt file a claim it is hard to confirm how easy it would have been to collect on policy, but can only assume they would have paid out as promised.

I always buy trip insurance when I am taking my family of 14 (kids, grandkids and in-laws) on a vacation. I have never had to file a claim before now. Our cruise ship was not able to dock in one port due to a tropical storm. I had planned a scuba trip for four of us with a company that refused to refund the payment I had made to them. Our policy included trip interruption and I was very pleased with the handling of my claim to RoamRight. I had a check for the entire amount within a month of arriving home from our cruise. The paperwork that they ask for was easy to provide to them by email and everything was finished long before I expected it to be. I will use RoamRight again when I travel. Also, the lady that sold me the policy was wonderful.

Thank God everything went well, and we did not need to use the plan. It was nice to know that it was there, if we needed to use it. Had a wonderful time in Canada for it's 150 year celebration and in Boston for the 4th of July.
