This is the second time we have used insuremytrip.com; however, first time with RoamRight. The customer service representative that we utilized was outstanding, and furnished information about what the various parts of the policies covered. I wish I remembered her name! We were so impressed by her knowledge and customer service that we referred our friends, specifically, to her. Of course the true test of how good the insurance is, occurs when you have a claim. Thankfully, we have not needed to file a claim (knock on wood!)

If you want a plan that covers you when things go wrong, this is NOT THE ONE. RoamRight refused compensation of any kind when we missed our connection (foreign port of entry) due to an extremely long line in immigration. This was absolutely not of our making. The airline refused to accommodate, cancelled the remainder of our tickets and left us stuck having to buy new tickets for onward travel. You would think this situation is PRECISELY what trip insurance is for, but if you purchased RoamRIght you would be mistaken. RoamRight has disclaimed all responsibility and paid out $0. DO NOT USE.

I did not need to file a claim and can not rate this insurance accurately. Fortunately, the plan was not too expensive for some peace of mind by having this insurance plan during our trip overseas

Had to cancel my travel plans because of the illness of my wife. The lady whose home we rent from was nice enough to refund our rent money. I called to cancel my insurance and was told that it could not be refunded.To me this is not good customer service and I will seek another company next year.

You have to be quite detail oriented to find the right plan and that in turn kind of defeats the whole purpose of this service. In fact, it can actually do more damage thinking you've found the right thing. As someone who faced a emergency family situation (adopting a child), I was left in the dark. It's not technically in the plan coverage unless you got the 'fortuitous event' added plan coverage (not the Essential) so would have had to explore the legal language ahead of time. In short, maybe i needed to do more research on my end, but the service's goal is to simplify the experience which it did at great cost to me.

Keep in mind, a plan is only as good as the service provided WHEN a claim is filed. Things were great on the sales front-end and fortunately, I didn’t have to experience the back-end process! Trip was great without a problem!! Will keep using your service for upcoming travel!!
